If you've been hacking at the branches of erectile dysfunction by taking supplements, popping Viagra or injecting yourself with testosterone, there's a good chance you may have missed the real culprit underlying your ED challenges.

Unfortunately, there are major drawbacks and unhealthy side effects when you try to solve the effect (the branches) rather than the root cause of any problem.

To give yourself the best chance at digging out the toxic infected roots that are causing your problem you’ll need to “Man Up” and be really self-honest here.  Self honesty is always the first step in creating new results, so go ahead and take a deep breath, relax and open your mind as we dig out the root cause of your particular problem.

Being honest here could in fact mean the difference between life and death!  As you’ll find out shortly, this is not an exaggeration, so listen closely.

Medical Illness or Affliction

Medical causes of ED are among the most common and roughly 90% of cases can be linked in some form or fashion to medical illness or affliction, which is most likely running rampant inside your body.[i]

Some of the more common medical causes we’ll be looking at are Heart disease, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Parkinson's disease, substance abuse, prescription medication, injuries to the spinal cord or pelvis and surgical complications.

If you are not in top physical condition or you have not been cleared by a doctor, you may be surprised to find out the cause of your hibernating soldier as one of these challenges, which might not only be causing man down but soon… man dead!

Heart disease

While nobody wants ED, it can serve as an alarm clock - waking you up to the fact that you have heart disease.  But don’t freak out!  ED and heart disease can be reversed and we’ll get to that shortly.  For now, just make sure you’re honest about whether or not you experience any of the warning signs associated with this life crusher.

More often than not, heart disease is caused by plaque in your coronary artery or other circulatory systems, which disrupts the flow of blood as it attempts to move throughout your body. This inevitability impairs blood flow to your soldier, making it difficult to maintain an erection.

In fact, this link between heart disease and erectile dysfunction is so common, that often times, when visiting a doctor for ED solutions, he will most likely recommend a heart screening.

This heart screening will determine whether any ED treatment options could potentially exacerbate heart disease and result in a stroke or heart attack.  And since heart disease is so often linked to ED it’s important to be able to identify the more common symptoms so you can slay this beast before it devours you.   Here are some of the most common warning signs:

1)Chest Discomfort

This is the most common sign of heart danger. If you have a blocked artery or are having a heart attack, you may feel pain, tightness, or pressure in your chest. Some people say it feels like an elephant sitting on them and the pain usually lasts for several minutes.

If this ever happens to you, call 911 my friend, you need serious help.  If the pain is brief or it’s just a spot that hurts more when you push on it, chances are it’s not your heart that’s the problem.

2)Pain that Spreads to Your Arm

Dr. Charles Chambers, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute says, “This pain always starts from the chest and moves outward… but I have had some patients who have mainly arm pain that turned out to be heart attacks."

This is another classic symptom of a heart attack, which radiates pain down the left side of your body.  If this happens, again, seek immediate medical attention.

3)You Feel Dizzy or Lightheaded

While a lot of things can make you lose your balance or feel faint for a moment, if you suddenly feel unsteady and you also have chest discomfort or shortness of breath, according to Dr. Vincent Bufalino, an American Heart Association spokesman, "It could mean your blood pressure has dropped because your heart isn't able to pump the way it should.”  Again, if this is you, get help!

4)You Get Exhausted Easily

If you suddenly feel fatigued or out of breath after doing something you had no problem doing last week, like climbing the stairs or carrying groceries, this significant and sudden change could be a sign of heart disease – get help.

5)Snoring

Snoring while you snooze is not a life threatening disease but unusually loud snoring that sounds like a gasping or choking can be a sign of sleep apnea. This happens when you stop breathing for brief moments at night while you’re still sleeping.

Unfortunately, this puts extra stress on your heart and could be a sign of heart disease.  If this is you, I highly recommend you get screened for heart disease.

6)Sweating For No Reason

Breaking out in a cold sweat for no obvious reason could signal a heart attack. If this happens along with any of the other symptoms just mentioned, call 911 to get to a hospital right away.  If at all possible don’t try to drive yourself in any of these situations.

7)A Cough That Won’t Quit

While in most cases, this is not a sign of heart trouble, if you have a long-lasting cough that produces white or pink mucus, it could be a sign of heart failure. This happens when your heart can't keep up with your body's demands, causing blood to leak back into your lungs.  If this is you get screened.

8)Your Legs, Feet, and Ankles Are Swollen

When your heart can't pump fast enough, blood backs up in your veins and causes bloating or swelling.  Heart failure can also make it harder for your kidneys to remove extra water and sodium from your body, which can also lead to bloating.

If you suffer from any of these 8 symptoms just mentioned, make sure you visit a physician to get screened for heart disease.  If heart disease is your challenge you'll need to make some lifestyle changes most doctors simply are not qualified to recommend.  In fact most MD doctors do not have training in nutrition or exercise and only know how to hack away at the branches of a problem with pills and surgery.

To find a root solution that will solve your problem will require a little eduction, which can be achieved for under $100 with a book like "Man Up - The Ultimate Guide to Natural ED Cures" and "Get Fired Up," one of the worlds most powerful Testosterone Enhancement programs available online.   If you really want to step up and get rid of ED you'll need to address the root causes with action.  For step by step guidance click on the links above for more info.
