In the book “Get High On Confidence” author Chad Scott mentions the use of several ancient methods for cultivating inner power. Similar to yoga, Tai Chi uses movement and breathing through the nose to focus the mind and help you become more aware or mindful of your negative thought processes. This mindfulness then translates to inner power when you are able to control your thoughts and thereby your emotions, which will allow you to remain calm in difficult or stressful situations.
Translation: “supreme ultimate fist”, “boundless fist”, “supreme ultimate boxing” or “great extremes boxing”.
What it is: Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that originally developed as a martial arts, which helps to manifest internal power. Today, it’s practiced as a graceful form of exercise and meditation. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
How it works: Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, is a non-competitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. It doesn’t require special equipment and can be done indoors or outdoors, either alone or in a group.
